Our Heritage

McBride Funeral Home Inc. founded in 1933 is the oldest family owned and operated funeral home in Tippah county. Mr. William L. "Bill" McBride, Sr. a native and life long resident of Tippah County enrolled in mortuary school in the early 1930's, and received his degree in embalming and mortuary science. Upon returning to Ripley Mississippi  and Tippah county Mr. Bill as he was affectionately known along with partner Mr. Lee Cox opened a funeral home called Ripley Funeral Home. Mr. Bill  bought out Mr. Cox and changed the name to McBride Funeral Home. The funeral home has had several locations through the years before settling at the present location on Commerce St.

  • Nancy Myers McBride

    Nancy Myers McBride Owner / Licensed Funeral Director

    After graduating in 1967 from Blue Mountain College with a Bachelor Of Arts In Speech Therapy, Nancy married Willie and joined her husband in the family business, Nancy became a Licensed Funeral Director in 1983. She and Willie are the proud parents of three children, Loren, Brent, and Andrea. And have six grandchildren: Morgan Grace, Anna Katherine, Mason, Cole, Mary-Leise, and Jase.

  • Brent  McBride

    Brent McBride Licensed Funeral Director

    A native of Ripley, Ms and the third generation of McBride's to come into the family business. Brent graduated from Ripley High School in 1989. Then attended NorthEast Mississippi Community College while working part time in the business.In 1993 he joined the firm full time. Becoming a Licensed Funeral Director in 1997, taking on the role of Lead Director.Brent is the proud father of two children: Cole McBride and Mary-Leise McBride.

  • Andy  Braddock

    Andy Braddock Licensed Funeral Director

    Andy joined McBride Funeral Home as a part-time associate in March of 2008, working visitation's and helping on Funerals. In March of 2010 Andy became a full-time associate. Upon completion of his training program Andy became a Licensed Funeral Director in September of 2013. Andy is a graduate of Mississippi State University. He and his wife Rita, are the parents of two son's. Chad Braddock and Adam Braddock both of Southaven, Mississippi.

    Tony Hollis LUTCF, CPC, Insurance / Pre-Arrangements

    Tony, joined McBride Funeral Home in 1989, from a large Insurance concern, his responsibilities include the handling of all Insurance matters, with the various company's, the funeral home does business with. And The North Mississippi Burial Association which is owned by McBride Funeral Home Inc., Tony also handles the Pre-Arrangements for the firm. He is a licensed insurance agent, and A Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow (LUTCF). NFDA Certified Preplanning Consultant (CPC).
