Vickie Kay Morgan Weatherly

Mrs. Vickie Kay Morgan Weatherly passed away at Tippah County Hospital in Ripley, Mississippi, at the age of 61. Vickie was born on November 7, 1964, in Somerville, Tennessee, to Charlie Morgan and Louise Wilson Morgan. At the age of 15, she married Thomas Wade Weatherly, and together they shared 45 devoted years of marriage. Vickie first worked at Gentry Furniture as a seamstress before beginning her career at Falkner High School, where she became much more than an employee to her students. She was deeply loved and respected, and many considered her a second mother. Above all else, Vickie cherished her family. Affectionately known as “Loli” by her nine grandchildren, she treasured every moment spent with them. She loved attending their sports events and cheering them on every chance she had. Hardly a day went by that she didn’t speak of her grandbabies, and despite her many health struggles, she continued to persevere for them. Her kindness, unwavering love, and gentle spirit will be forever remembered by all who knew and loved her. Most importantly, Vickie loved the Lord and found comfort in knowing her eternal home was with Him. Vickie is preceded in death by her parents, an infant sister, and her grandson, Hudson Jude Ward. Vickie is survived by her husband, Thomas Wade Weatherly; her daughter Tiffany Weatherly Ward (Paul) of Ripley, MS; her son Jonathan Weatherly (Brandy) of Ripley, MS; her brothers, Larry Morgan (Paula) of Hernando, MS, Barry Morgan (Melissa) of Lamar, MS, Junior Morgan (Rita) of Ashland, MS, and Brant Morgan (Crystal) of Lamar, MS; her nine grandchildren, Thomas Weatherly, Ridge Ward, Chloe Weatherly, Kruz Ward, Taylor Weatherly, Dautry Ward, Lucie Ward, Hayden Weatherly, and Jack Weatherly; and her special sister Kim Braddock. The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Vickie’s home health nurse, Heather Cornelious, her devoted caregiver, Elizabeth Eggleston, and the many other caregivers who provided such compassionate care, kindness, and support.
