Randle Luna

Randle Tate Luna II left his earthly home to enter his heavenly home on May 9th, 2023. He was better known by some as “Big Dog”. He was born on November 24, 1966, to father Randle Tate Luna and mother Emma Jane Crowell. On August 8th, 1986 he married Trena Crum Luna whom he remained married to for 36 years. Together they had three children Ashley, Chase, and Natalie Luna. He was a devoted Christian and a faithful member of Springdale Baptist Church where he served as chairman of the Deacons. He was a 1984 graduate of Falkner High School where he played football. During his senior year, they were state champions. He continued his education at NEMCC where he played college football for 2 years. During his junior and senior college years, he played football at Millsaps College. He graduated from Millsaps with a bachelors degree in education. He was employed at Hankins Inc. where he worked there for 22 years. He and his wife Trena established their own small business in 2018 named Luna Lumber. He and his family were members of Eagle Homeschool where he served on the board. He also was an assistant coach for the EHS football team for 6 years. Randy was a loving Husband and Father. He was treasured by his family and friends. He was a man of exceptional and unwavering character. Randy was survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Trena Crum Luna; one son, Randle Chase Luna; two daughters Ashley Nicole Luna and Natalie Elizabeth Luna; 2 sisters, Jeana Luna Hill (Tim Hill) and Rhonda Luna Brock; mother-in-law Linda Crum; and brother-in-law Terry Crum (and family Crystal and Jase Crum); and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Randle Tate Luna and Emma Jane Crowell; stepfather Raymond Charles Crowell; father-in law: Horace Pete Crum; brother-in-law Paul Brock. Pallbearers will be Joe Luna, Scott Green, Larry Cossitt, Mark Morton, Mason Morton, Corey Henry, Bobby Brannon, Craig Meadows, Michael Nance, and Austin Wooley. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Harold Wayne Hankins, Mike Eaves, Sharon Eaves, James Willingham, Rocky Clemmer, Tony Brady, Sawyer Brady, Dalton Morton, Bobby Kirk, Jeff Alred, Steve Bradley, Dustin Drewry, David Pannell, Keith Williford, Tim Hill, Eddie Bates, and all Falkner High School, NEMCC, and Millsaps College former teammates. Officiating will be: Bro Stacy McKee, Bro. Randy Hamilton, and Bro. Gary Hodum.
