Katy Ruth Byrd Roberson

Katy Ruth Byrd Roberson passed away at the age of 87 at the Tippah County Hospital on October 20, 2025. She was born on October 2, 1938, in Holly Springs, MS, to Wilbur and Callie Byrd. She made her home in Ashland, MS, with the late Floyd Roberson, Jr, and one daughter, the late Pam Campbell. She spent her life surrounded by family and friends who loved her dearly. She was a member of Bluff Springs Baptist Church. Katy was a dedicated and hard-working woman. She worked for many years at the Shoe Factory, the ABC Factory, until its closing, and later at Quartet. Her strong work ethic and friendly nature made her well-loved by everyone who knew her. To know Katy was to love her. She was a kind-hearted lady who always put others before herself. She had a way of making everyone feel special and cared for. Katy was a loving grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother who cherished her family deeply. You could always find Katy with a smile on her face, talking and carrying on with someone, brightening every room she entered. Her laughter, warmth, and love will be deeply missed but never forgotten. Katy is preceded in death by her parents, Wilbur and Callie Byrd, her husband Floyd Roberson, Jr, her daughter Pamela (Pam) Roberson Campbell, her four brothers, Ebb Byrd, Wade Byrd, Ransom Byrd, Carnell (Tobe) Byrd; two sisters, Sally Thompson and Patty Sue McMullen. The family would like to extend the most heartfelt gratitude to Catherine Gibbs (caregiver) for taking care of Katy through her journey. Officiated by Bro. Richie Lockhart Katy is survived by her son-in-law, Ruben Campbell, of Falkner, MS, two granddaughters, Brandy Griffin (John) of Falkner, MS, Mandy Owen (Michael) of Falkner, MS; one step granddaughter Amy Potts (Donnie) of Slayden, MS, one step grandson Stephen Campbell of Ashland, MS; two great-granddaughters, Madison Griffin Shelton (Cameron), Jacey Gail Owen; two great-grandsons, John Hunter Griffin, and Kason Owen; three step great grandchildren, Zack Campbell (Alyssa), Drayton Potts, and Addison Potts; two great great grandchildren, Camdyn Gail and Culter Brooks Shelton both of Falkner, MS, one step great great grandson Rustyn Campbell of Ashland, MS.
