Helen Ione "Granny" Garner (Griffin)

Blue Mountain, Mississippi---Mrs. Helen Ione Griffin Garner (Granny) 93, died Thursday June 2, 2011 at her home near Ripley, MS: She was born on October 8, 1917, to the late Larkin Tandy Griffin and Fronia Wilhite Griffin of the Clarysville Community, near Ripley, MS: She was a homemaker and worked alongside her late husband, William Hall (Bill) Garner on their family farm for over 60 years. She was married on July 15, 1934 and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was one of the oldest members of Jacobs Chapel Methodist Church, where she became a member on September 8, 1946. She loved being with her family, visiting with her friends and sitting in her yard or on her porch. She enjoyed crocheting and giving her crocheted pieces to others, and attending her Church.
