Mrs. Ruth Akins, 91, passed away at her home on November 22, 2021 in Oakland Tennessee. She was born March 18, 1930 to Charles Roosevelt "Ted" Crum and Eula Vasti Mills Crum in Tippah County, MS. She was a homemaker and was a member of the United Methodist Women's Group and the Christ United Methodist Church. Ruth is survived by one son: William Edward "Ned" Akins (Tricia Porter) of Ripley, MS; one daughter: Kim Elizabeth Akins Farr of Ripley, MS; five grandchildren: Dawn Ellis Shea, Blake Farr, Kristen Akins Willis, Taylor Akins and Tristin Porter; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Edward Lavaughn Akins. Pallbearers will be: Jerry Willis, Taylor Akins, Grey Akins, Joe Akins, Glen Michael, Gage Goodson. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Blake Farr, Lance Hoskins, Timothy Shea.
