Robert Wayne Ray Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Robert Wayne Ray passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at the age of 85 at his home. He was born June 14, 1937 to Leland and Irene Ray of Tiplersville, MS. He served in Company C Fourth Battalion National Guard Army in the early 1960's. He owned and operated Rays Service Station for 10 years and Rays Feed Mill for 40 years in Tiplersville, before retiring. He loved his family and friends, tending to the cows and doing farm work until health issues caused him to quit. He is survived by a daughter: Kim Ray of Tiplersville; two sons: Mike Ray (Janet), Eddie Ray (Audra) both of Tiplersville, MS; his grandchildren: Sandy Mohundro of Tiplersville, MS, Carly Jackson-Melton (Cole) of Ripley, MS, Alexa Glissen of Boulder, Colorado, C.J. Glissen of Falkner, MS; great-grandchildren: Kenlee Alsup, Lilah Melton, Halle Glissen, Tripp Glissen. He is also survived by an identical twin brother Waiburn Ray (Jeanette) of Walnut, MS; a sister: Gwen Erwin of Olive Branch, MS; a special sister-in-law: Lucy Rowland of New Albany, MS. He is preceded in death by his wife and mother of his children: Sandra Hopper Ray of Tiplersville; his parents: Leland and Irene Ray of Tiplersville, MS; a niece: LuAnn Ray; a grandson: Sid Glissen; a brother-in-law: John "Buddy" Hopper; his in-laws: T.J. and Lucille Hopper of Falkner, MS. Pallbearers will be: Jake Rogers, Gary Ray, Justin Alsup, Keith Orman, Bo Rucker, Kyle Ray. Officiating will be Bro. Ronnie Caldwell.
