Marty Nichole Duncan Calderon, 38, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, surrounded by her family and loved ones in her home in Fort Worth, Texas. As her best friend prayed beside her and her family surrounded her, Marty was lovingly ushered into heaven. Born on October 2, 1986, Marty lived a life marked by love, quiet strength, and unwavering devotion to her family. She graduated from Del Rio High School in 2005 and later earned a business degree from the University of Texas at Arlington. She began her professional journey at Wells Fargo, where she was recognized for her performance, work ethic, and commitment to excellence. Marty later joined TD Ameritrade now Charles Schwab, quickly earning a reputation as someone who could make things happen—respected for her ability to turn vision into results. In 2021, she and her husband Michael made the decision to become owner-operators of Martha’s Cocina in Fort Worth, where Marty continued to share her energy and leadership up until the time of her passing. She married the love of her life, Michael Calderon, on May 25, 2013, and together they built a beautiful life centered around their three beloved children: Madison Studer (16), Sophia Calderon (15), and Eli Calderon (11). Marty is survived by her parents, Chuck and Sandy Duncan of Falkner, Ms.; her brother, Shelby Duncan of San Angelo, Tx.; her grandmothers, Margaret Coleman of Ripley, Ms., Sarah Clark (Junior) of Blue Mountain, Ms. and step-grandmother Carolyn Duncan of Ripley, Ms.; her mother- and father-in-law, Martha Marioni and Oscar Calderon; her brothers-in-law, Alex Calderon and Danny Calderon (Amanda) all of Fort Worth, Tx.; and her chosen sister and lifelong best friend, Nicole Hernandez (Tommy) of Del Rio, Tx. She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Hugh Coleman of Ripley, Ms. and Bobby Duncan of Falkner, Ms. Marty’s grace, compassion, and faith will live on through her children, her family, and all who were blessed to know her. Her legacy is one of love, resilience, and quiet courage.
