Dortha Lee Pulliam Wilson ("Dot")

In Loving Memory of Dortha Lee Pulliam Wilson (“Dot”) August 11, 1935 – June 3, 2025 Dortha Lee Pulliam Wilson, lovingly known to all as “Dot,” passed away peacefully on June 3, 2025, at the age of 89. A devoted wife, loving mother, treasured grandmother, and faithful friend, Dot lived a life marked by quiet strength, deep faith, and an unwavering commitment to her family and church. Born on August 11, 1935, Dot was the daughter of Edgar and Francis Pulliam. She was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved sister, Donna Kay Nicholson. On March 20, 1953, she married the love of her life, Asa Wilson. Together, they built a beautiful life over 72 years of marriage, grounded in love, faith, and family. Dot was the proud and loving mother of three children: Gai Wilson (Stephanie) of Knoxville, TN; Kevin Wilson (Mona) of Columbia, KY; and Carol Wilson Jones (Butch) of Collierville, TN. She was also the cherished grandmother of 10 grandchildren and the joyful great-grandmother of 11 great-grandchildren, all of whom brought immense pride and joy to her life. A long-time member of Harmony Baptist Church in Walnut, Mississippi, Dot’s faith was the cornerstone of her life. She served her church and community with grace, kindness, and humility, always ready with a listening ear or a helping hand. Dot had a rare gift—an intuitive sense of how to handle every situation with wisdom and compassion. While many wore bracelets that read WWJD, those who knew her often said they needed one that read WWDD—“What Would Dot Do?”—because she always seemed to know the right path forward. Her warm heart, steady presence, and loving spirit will be deeply missed but forever cherished by all who knew her. A visitation will be held on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at 1:00 PM, followed by a celebration of Dot’s life at 2:00 PM, at Harmony Baptist Church, 28840 Hwy. 15, Walnut, MS 38683. Mr. Rick Baggett and Bro. Randy Buse will officiate. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Dot’s memory to Harmony Baptist Church, P.O.
